"Had an itch for a haircut so I called around and got a last minute appointment with Kim. She moved from W Salon a few months ago and did a great job with my hair. It's been thinning lately and she was able to add more volume to my crown. I wanted to keep my length and she had the right skills to make it stylish and with a great shape that will be easy to maintain. She also gave me some flat iron style tips. "I have been going to this salon and working with Miran for about 20 years. Each and every time I've gone, I left with a great haircut. Over the years my hair has gone from hip length, to chin, to mid-back, shoulder length, etc. Each time I'm pleased with it. I receive a lot of compliments about my hair from a wide range of people, even people I do not know. Miran listens and takes in to consideration my lifestyle as well as what would be flattering. If it's not going to work, she'll suggest something else, tactfully. I also go here to get my eyebrows done. Again, Miran knows that I want a "clean" look and doesn't disregard my requests. I tried a couple of other stylists there, but Miran is the one for me. Neither does she chatter incessantly. I understand that chattering is important for some customers but I appreciate just being able to relax. One of the best presents my husband ever did was to give me a gift card so that I could get my hair cut several times during the year! I highly recommend this salon." - Laurie L.

"I'm surprised by the multiple negative reviews I have read on this salon. A friend referred me to get my hair cut by Bobbi, the owner. I have been here twice now, had cut, highlights, Brazilian blowout done each time. I used to freak out if my hair was cut too short. Bobbi carefully listened and cut my hair the length I wanted. She steered me away from a more dramatic highlight color, and glad she did. She listened, was trying to train an assistant at the same time, and kept watch like a hawk on the salon the whole time. I have been very pleased with the results both times. I also brought my 20 year old here and he got a great haircut from a different stylist. My only complaint is that for the money, coffee or tea could be offered. I noticed the skincare display was dusty and looked dirty. I was thrilled with the results here after a disastrous experience at Paul Brown's salon in Kailua, which left a chemical burn on my scalp! " - Susan S.

She's excellent and I've seen her work well with all hair types in my family. In fact, we've been seeing her so long now that she is like family. Yes, the salon is expensive but I try to time/space my visits according to our budget because I know that she does quality work. My friend and I joke that she's like drugs because our hair looks fantastic and we feel so great after seeing her. HA! After searching for a good stylist for several years, I'm very glad I found her. "I went in with my hair looking REALLY bad. Unruly, frizzy, tangled, faded, just tragic! My mom set up an appointment for me yesterday, and I was attended by this adorable asian man named Sunny. I was a little iffy at first because it was my first time at Bobbi&Guy, and I had always done my hair myself. I thought My hair was damaged enough and god knows what chemicals they used. After Sunny suggested some things for my hair, I realised this guy truly is an expert, so I just told him to "Make me look amazing!" and man, did he make me look AMAZING. He dyed all of my hair, deep conditioned it, gave me tips, blow-dried, and finished off the look with a flat-iron. I have never had hair more amazing. The colors were perfect, the frizz was gone, it was smooth and shiny, just PERFECT! Now it's day 2 with my hair and it's as good as when Sunny left me! Not even this hawaiian humidity had one hair gone out of place. I could not be any happier. I can assure that I will return to Sunny's chair soon!" - Sunny L.

"I had my first haircut today at Bobbi & Guy salon. I requested an appointment online at 8:00 and at 9:00 they called to schedule my appointment for the next day (today). I walk in and the receptionist was friendly and walked me to the waiting area. I sat down for less than five minutes and Sunny introduced himself. I think he knew I was a little nervous. My last haircut and salon I visited was an horrible experience. He asked what I wanted and he made a few suggestions. I agreed. He washed my hair which felt wonderful. He took me back to the chair and before he started asked me if I wanted any water. I declined but I thought Wow. This is totally serving the customer. During my haircut he would tell me what he was going to do. Remember I am a little frightened my hair was going to be in ruins from last time. He was so polite and a joy to talk to. When he finished my hair looked beautiful. He didn't even have to use the straight iron on my hair. ( I have thick, wavy hair.) I always have to use a straight iron after a blow dry. Afterwards, he waxed my brows which he did a great job. BOTTOM LINE: I was throughly impressed with the staff and stylist at Bobbi & Guy. I scheduled my appointment with Sunny again before I left. "After a professional consultation with Kristen on what to expect from a Brazilian Blowout I made an appointment to have her do it. I was going to the Caribbean on holiday for several weeks and I didn't want frizzy hair or hair that I would have to fuss with a lot. When she finished, I loved my hair, but the question was how would it holdup on my holiday. All I can say is WOWWEEEEEEEEEEE! I took a styling iron, but I didn't even use it. After washing and conditioning with sodium and sulfate free products I sometimes scrunched it and let it air dry which resulted in nice soft (no frizz) waves, other times, I blew it dry for a nice (no frizz) straight style. I love, it ....I'm hooked. I highly recommend Kristen for a fabulous Brazilian Blowout." - C. L.

The salon is always clean, the stylist are sooo nice and are always willing to answer any of your questions. Today I was serviced by Jason and let me tell you, I've never had such a great salon experience before! "I have been using Bobbi and Guy in Kapolei for 5 months now. Jason is my hairstylist and I love love love him! The first time he did my hair he sat down and asked me what I wanted and gave me advice on my hair, I was 99 % satisfied. 3 months later when I came back for my root touch up he asked me how I liked it I told him the one thing I was not so pleased with from the time before and I left that day 100% satisfied! I would recommend him to anyone, he makes you feel welcomed and makes sure you leave happy! I also used Alex a week ago for an updo and makeup for my husbands military ball. I can't say enough about the job she did on my hair and makeup. My hair and makeup lasted all night with no touch ups. I would also highly recommend her to everyone! "For the past few years, I've been getting my haircuts/colors from Cathy at the Ward location. I'm really picky about how my hair looks, so for me to completely trust her is a BIG deal. She does an awesome job every time. Oh and I'd recommend her because she also massages your head a bit while shampooing. I'm not sure if that's a service the salon provides in general or if it's just something she does, but whatever the reason, i love it. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because it's a bit pricey. But honestly, I'd rather pay for good quality than just an "eh ok" job." - Tiffany H.

"Last August I made an appointment in at the Bobby&Guy Salon in Kapolei, and Tommy was to be my stylist. Honestly, I am very picky as I have paid tons of money to amazing stylists over the years I will not settle. Needless to say I may have been a bit abrasive to Tommy at first, but to his credit he took it in stride. I laugh now, "Do not give me a duck tail," was what I demanded when describing how I wanted my hair layered. The people they have to deal with all day... anyway. So it's been almost a year and I have remained faithful to Tommy:). He has cut my hair in a manner that is flattering, and just feels good for almost a year now. People compliment me hair all the time. I even started getting highlights again and we took it as a gradual process as I had decided to dye my hair a dark red which if you know, takes much care, and just plain patience to get back to blonde. "I decided to try this salon out after reading the reviews and I specifically asked for Del to be my stylist. I took a picture of exactly what I was looking for but since my hair was so dark I knew it would be a challenge. My hair had several versions of black hair color and I was hoping for a combination of light brown highlights. I thought it might take several sessions to even get close but he got it in the first try!!! I was shocked! That shows me he is incredibly talented and knows what he's doing. She is amazing, whether it's color, styling, or a cut, she definitely will go above and beyond to fit you in and make sure you are happy. "I have always been to salon bobbi and guy to get my hair done. Although this time when I went I had a new girl named Teresa Plazza do my highlights, and I instantly feel in love with her personality and knew she exactly what I wanted. I've seen a few different hair stylist at this salon, but none of them compared to Teresa, she was exactly that hair stylist that I would want to continue to return too, although I can't because I am moving =(. After my hair was done and saw the results they were AMAZING, and what I appreciate the most about her doing my hair is that, there was a walk in that needed her hair done and Teresa was drying my hair at the time and almost done. When the receptionist asked how much longer for my hair and if she could take the walk in, Teresa did not rush to get my hair done to get another client in her books, she took her time and made sure that I was walking out happy and very well satisfied. "I've never gotten my haircut here but this is my go-to place for waxing! I'm not sure why everyone is so disappointed with their customer service because when I go they're always very nice and I never wait too long. The girls who do my eyebrows are always very nice and do a good job. And I have very difficult eyebrows so that says a lot lol. I've gone to other places and this is by far my favorite! I usually make appointments because whenever I walk-in, I have to wait or come back later. But my co-worker has told me that she always goes for a walk-in and they take her right away! Tommy Morgan has been styling my hair for almost 2 years and always does a fantastic job (cut, color and styling). He keeps me looking current and I always get great reviews form freinds and co-workers. I fell that I have found a stylest that I can trust.
